The Lievland Café project was a remarkable collaborative effort, helmed by José Condé of Lievland Vineyards and the innovative minds at JFM Louw Architects. Their shared vision sought to preserve the cherished historical Cape style of the existing wine cellar building while adapting it for practical restaurant use, all while capitalising on the awe-inspiring views of the surrounding mountains and vineyards.

In their pursuit to create a contemporary yet unpretentious dining experience, and to craft an inviting space for bespoke events, the team at Lievland Café needed the perfect chairs to complement their vision. They aimed for their guests to experience comfort and quality without superfluous embellishments. After careful consideration, Lievland Café selected our Abbey and Riga Chairs to help bring their vision to life.
